Tax Questions
Why is the 1099-DIV form different than the IRS published form?
The reprinted 1099-DIV form is fully compliant with IRS Publication 1179 which specifies formatting and information requirements for a substitute 1099-DIV. The substitute forms can be printed and submitted or filed with your IRS tax forms
Do Goldbelt Shareholders Receive 7(i)/7(j) Funds?
Goldbelt is an Urban Alaska Native Corporation, which means we do not receive 7(i)/7(j) funds from Sealaska for our business operations. Instead, Sealaska distributes those funds directly to urban and at-large shareholders who are enrolled with them.
If you’re a shareholder of Sealaska, you likely receive your 7(i)/7(j) distribution directly from Sealaska, not through Goldbelt. To view details about those payments, you can log in to MySealaska.com.
