What is the Goldbelt Internship Program?

The Goldbelt Internship Program offers shareholders and their descendants an opportunity to gain hands-on work experience in various industries. The program is designed to provide career development, networking, and exposure to Alaska Native culture through a 10-week summer internship.


Who is eligible for the internship program?

To qualify for the Goldbelt Internship Program, you must:

  • Be a voting shareholder of Goldbelt, Inc., or a lineal descendant of a voting shareholder
  • Be a full-time student or recent graduate from an accredited college or university
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA

What is the internship duration and compensation?

  • The internship lasts 10 weeks during the summer.
  • Interns receive a starting wage of $22 per hour.
  • Housing and travel stipends are available, varying by location.

Are there opportunities for externships?

Yes, Goldbelt also offers externship placements for shareholders and shareholder descendants on a case-by-case basis. Goldbelt will place candidates with partner business that align with a candidate's career goals or interests, whenever possible. These externships provide valuable hands-on experience and help build career skills and professional networks.
