52nd Annual Meeting of Goldbelt Shareholders Recap

Goldbelt’s 52nd Annual Meeting of Shareholders was held at Floyd Dryden Middle School in Juneau, bringing together 248 shareholders in person with more than 378 viewers watching the livestream on MyGoldbelt. When shareholders come together, we strengthen the connections that unite the Goldbelt community and shape the company’s future. We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended in person, watched the livestream, and voted their proxy. Your support and participation continue to strengthen our corporation. Election Results 

With 65.3% of voting shares represented, quorum was achieved on June 17 allowing Goldbelt to conduct official business. Shareholders elected the following candidates to serve three-year terms as directors, through 2029.  

  • Gail Dabaluz received 98,567 votes  
  • Lori Grant received 92,989 votes  
  • Craig Kahklen received 84,467 votes 

Following the annual meeting the newly elected and returning directors were sworn into office, effective immediately. The Board then reorganized and elected its officers as follows:   

  • Board Chair: Craig Kahklen 
  • Vice Chair: Richard Beasley 
  • Treasurer: Gail Dabaluz 
  • Secretary: Lisa-Marie Ikonomov 

Goldbelt offers its appreciation to all candidates who participated in this year’s election and thanks our outgoing and returning directors for their commitment and service to our shareholders. 

Annual Meeting Highlights 

The meeting opened with a special performance by the Tlingit & Haida Elders Dance Group, followed by a recognition of our veterans and a moment of remembrance honoring those shareholders who passed away during the past year.  

President & CEO McHugh Pierre provided shareholders with an update on Goldbelt’s performance, strategic initiatives, and continued growth including progress on Goldbelt Aaní.  

Congratulations to the Proxy Prize Winners!  

All eligible voting shareholders who submitted their proxy by the deadline were automatically entered into the drawing. Winners were randomly selected by the Inspector of Elections. If you are a selected winner, call our corporate office at (907) 790-4990 to confirm your information. Proxy prizes will be mailed to the address on file during the week following the annual meeting.
